Termination of Auxiliary Promotion of America’s Waterway Watch (AWW)

Program Visitors and Vessel Examiners:

Based on a mutual decision of US Coast Guard and US Coast Guard Auxiliary leaders, effective immediately the Auxiliary is no longer promoting America’s Waterway Watch (AWW). The AWW program has been replaced by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “See Something, Say Something” (SSSS) program. The Auxiliary is checking to see if any materials are available to support the SSSS program and we will advise you when we know more about our ability to support this program.

Program Visitors (PV) and Vessel Examiners (VE) should take the following action with regard to AWW materials:

1. Do not distribute any AWW materials to the boating public and our partners.

2. Remove from display any AWW materials.

3. Destroy all local stocks of AWW materials. Trash is acceptable for destruction, no extraordinary methods are needed.

4. No orders for AWW materials will be fulfilled and all ANSC inventory will also be destroyed.

Thank you for your continued support and for keeping RBS Job 1!
