Subj: FORCE DESIGN 2028 – MAKING CHANGE

1. The Coast Guard recently issued ALCGFD28 004/26 (attached) to strongly encourage all Coast Guard active duty, Reserve, civilian, and Auxiliary personnel to stay abreast of Force Design 2028 (FD28) initiatives and progress.

2. All Auxiliarists can access the Coast Guard’s FD28 public site (https://www.uscg.mil/leadership/commandants-initiatives/forcedesign2028/) for the latest FD28 status, including the FD28 Initial Update issued on January 15, 2026. Only Auxiliarists who possess an active Auxiliary Logical Access Card (ALAC) or Network Enterprise Alternate Token System (NEATS) token are able to access the Coast Guard’s FD28 SharePoint site (https://uscg.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/forcedesign2028) for more detailed information mentioned in ALCGFD28 004/26.
