ALAUX 027/26 Subj:  2026 COMMODORE CHARLES S. GREANOFF INSPIRATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD

1.  I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2026 Commodore Charles S. Greanoff Inspirational Leadership Award which recognizes the outstanding Auxiliary Flotilla Commander of the Year: Auxiliarist Douglas Wisman of the “Eugene” Flotilla 52 in the Coast Guard Northwest District.

2.  Auxiliarist Wisman demonstrated exceptional leadership, selfless service, and unwavering dedication to flotilla personnel and Coast Guard missions. By actively championing the flotilla, fostering remarkable trust, and modeling utmost integrity, he translated his strategic vision into measurable action. Auxiliarist Wisman’s dedication to duty significantly enhanced Coast Guard operations and embodied the highest standards of the service exemplified by the legacy of Commodore Greanoff.

3.  Auxiliarist Wisman recently received personal congratulatory calls from the Commandant, Vice Commandant, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, and the Auxiliary National Commodore. He will be honored at the Auxiliary National Training Event (NTE) in Orlando, Florida on August 22, 2026. Additionally, he will be featured in an upcoming MyCG spotlight article.

4.  Honorable mention goes to Flotilla Commander Robert Koebert of the “One Milwaukee Metro” Flotilla 43-1 in the Coast Guard Great Lakes District, Western Region.
