ALAUX 038/26 Subj: FY27 AUXDATA II PATROL ORDER GUIDANCE
1. Please review the guidance below for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) patrol orders in AUXDATA.
a. The FY27 budget will start at 0000 hours on 01 October 2026.
b. Any patrol order being conducted on or after 0000 hours on 01 October 2026 will fall under the FY27 budget for funding.
c. Auxiliary members and Order Issuing Authorities (OIA) are reminded to continue to work on closing out FY26 patrol orders in accordance with ALAUX 037/26.
d. Any FY26 “Approved” patrol order with “No Activities” dated greater that 45 days old, will be “Cancelled.”
e. The Office of Auxiliary and Boating Safety (CG-BSX), Office of Budget Execution (CG-83), and service team are in the process of updating the system for patrol order processing under the FY27 budget.
f. Starting on or after 01 October 2026 to on or about 18 October 2026, or until the Financial System Modernization Solution (FSMS) is funded to allow patrol orders, FSMS availability dates are subject to ALCGFINANCE guidance (this is expected to happen prior to 18 October 2026). Verbal authorization for patrol orders is authorized in accordance with the Auxiliary Operations Process Guide (AOPG): Volume I, AOPG 16798.31 (series) as directed by the District Director of Auxiliary (DIRAUX). OIA’s must verify verbal authorization from their respective DIRAUX before issuing verbal orders.
g. After 01 October 2026, Auxiliary members receiving verbal authorizations for a patrol order by the OIA must start a “NEW” patrol order and must add the following comments in the “Request Description” field: “Verbal authorization issued by the OIA on Insert Date here.”
h. Effective immediately, patrol requests for FY27 in “Requested” status, already entered, will be “Denied.”
2. The Coast Guard Comptroller recently released ALCGFINANCE 031/26, Subj: FY27 Continuing Resolution Guidance. This message guidance states that FSMS is projected to open for new FY27 business for all end users on 07 October 2026.
3. CG-BSX will continue to update messaging on FY27 budgeting as it becomes available.
