The A-Directorate Publications Team is excited to bring you the newest issue of The Auxiliarist! This quarter’s theme is making a difference. We have the power and ability to make a difference for the Coast Guard and the public and this issue showcases how profound that impact can be!
Enjoy this Quarter’s issue now available on the U.S. Coast Guard DVIDS! Are you wondering what DVIDS is? DVIDS, or the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service, is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) system that provides access to imagery and video from military operations worldwide. The U.S. Coast Guard is very much a part of this program and is also featured on DVIDS, with content including images and videos of Coast Guard missions and personnel.
Essentially, DVIDS is the platform where the public, including media organizations, can access visual information from various military branches, including the Coast Guard, involved in operations. The Coast Guard uses DVIDS to share content related to their missions, which include maritime safety, security, and stewardship.
Why is this important? This is Huge because for the very first time the Coast Guard Auxiliary has been granted access to this program and now has its very own page. This is Awesome for Team Auxiliary!
