Subj: 2025 AUXILIARIST OF THE YEAR
1. Please join me in congratulating the 2025 Auxiliarist of the Year, Auxiliarist Peter H. Gorenberg from the Sausalito-Tiburon Flotilla 12 in the Coast Guard Southwest District – Northern Region.
2. Auxiliarist Gorenberg continued his steady rise through the Auxiliary leadership continuum since his enrollment in 2017 by serving as Division Commander in 2025 and District Captain for Response this year. Consistently active across several operational disciplines, he participated as both coxswain and crew for 34 surface patrols in support of Sector San Francisco and logged 21 air patrols for Air Station San Francisco. He also provided navigational support to Coast Guard Barque EAGLE and supported Fleet Week Command Information Center operations.
3. Please read the attached ALCOAST 175/26 for more about Auxiliarist Gorenberg’s outstanding service. Auxiliarist Gorenberg will be formally recognized for his unwavering dedication and clear devotion to helping others at the 2026 Auxiliary National Training Event in Orlando, Florida this August.
