Subj: PROCEEDINGS MAGAZINE – RECREATIONAL BOATING SAFETY EDITION NOW AVAILABLE

1. The latest edition of Proceedings magazine, centered on “Recreational Boating Safety – A Shared Responsibility” and carrying several Coast Guard Auxiliary highlights, is now available online to everyone at: http://www.uscg.mil/proceedings or https://www.dco.uscg.mil/Featured-Content/Proceedings-Magazine/. All Auxiliarists are strongly encouraged to open it and take a look at the many impressive articles and photos that describe and advertise the Auxiliary’s premier mission…Recreational Boating Safety.

2. The edition is kicked off by articles written by Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy, Rear Admiral Robert Compher, and the edition’s Champion, Chief Director of Auxiliary, Captain Brent Schmadeke.

3. Proceedings magazine is published three times a year in the interest of promoting maritime safety. It has been nearly 10 years since the last time an edition of Proceedings was centered on recreational boating safety. Many trackline miles have been covered since then, and this edition provides valuable insight and updates to recreational boating safety and the Auxiliary’s role in it.
